The Japanese plan for dealing with tanks was simple. They formed Tokko or special attack teams equipped with Molotov Cocktails and mines, relying on the superior moral fibre of the Japanese soldier to overcome matériel superiority.

The attacks by these men were know as Nikuhaku Kogeki or human bullet assaults because the mens determination to destroy the tank transformed them into weapons.
